This is my first GPS. As the number of options and characters, I could not decide so I've been shopping for several months. I chose the Magellan because this is a sign offering Hertz (NeverLost) and I had success with these units rentals. What sold me was: Feature, the device is a complete spelling of your search for items;4.3 "display;Huge POI library.I'm like the Garmin Nuvi 260 at Best Buy and it seemed like the Garmin spent a lot of time thinking about what was 1412.
Huge POI library was also a plus. I've come to many known POI's and 1412 always appears in a precise manner. Finally, the 4.3 "screen was a seller.
No complaints here and I would recommend it.

This product is total crap. The bottom is perfectly fine and looks exactly like the basis for the Garmin GPS is my sister. It stays in place regardless of what the road condition. You can do the work of Magellan, they flimsy little attachment which connects with hardly a place to stick the ball in another model of GPS. Hit a bump in the road and the GPS receiver is set to fly together Flimsy attachment. I was Thurs REACH quickly and throw down its arms and to trust what the GPS told me to vote without seeing the map until I could pull over and attach it to the bottom.
